May 2019 – For the First Time, Berlin Hyp Issues a Ten-Year Mortgage Bond

For the first time, Berlin Hyp has issued a ten-year mortgage Pfandbrief in benchmark format. The longest term issued to date was eight years. The € 500 million bond is rated Aaa by the rating agency Moody’s.

  Around 63% of the issue was placed with domestic investors. By the time the order book was closed, the volume in demand was around € 1.3 billion, enabling the bond to be priced at mid-swap -2 basis points.
